Why It Seems So Hard to Get Hired for Your Services!
Why It Seems So Hard to Get Hired for Your Services!
Word Count:

Summary:
If you think you are doing a good job of talking about your services to what seem like ideal clients... but wonder why no one is actually hiring you - this article may reveal the answer to the problem. With a little homework you can join the ranks of business and sales people who get hired, sell services and increase referrals. It is easy, not rocket science and you can do it!
Keywords:
sales training website copy writing teleclasses teleclass selling benefits results features entrepreneurs business owners Anna Kanary writer save money services closing close technique money results
Article Body:
To answer this question let's first take a look at the difference between promoting products VS services.
Products often have cool features that show results quickly. Talk about the benefits of a feature and how it'll make your customer's life easier and you'll probably get a sale.
Services on the other hand, are intangible. There are no buttons to push or "before and after" pictures to see. Services often get categorized as "luxury items" we can usually survive without. They are more challenging to sell because the "results" of a service can be difficult to quantify measure or prove.
Many "hard sell" sales trainers shy away from working with service providers. It is easier to train someone to sell products with features you can see and results you can prove.
After four years in the corporate world selling products (Electronic telephone systems), I transferred into yellow pages advertising. Many of the "sales" techniques we used to sell telephones wouldn't work at all in advertising! I quickly found out that I needed new sales techniques to promote the intangible results of advertising.
Authors, Coaches, Consultants, etc. produce results that improve the human side of life and business and "Alternative Healers" deal with subtle energies that may take longer to produce quantifiable results. To the average consumer, these are luxuries that, although desirable and beneficial, can be "done without" if money is tight.
Most of my clients haven't got a clue how to tell people about the benefits and results of their good services. They feel frustrated and wonder why clients are so hard to get. Many are good at explaining how they work and what tools they use. The problem is that most consumers couldn't care less about how you work. We care more about the benefits we'll experience after hiring you. We want to be clear on what results you can deliver in exchange for our hard-earned money.
"What's in it for me?" your customers are asking. It is time to stop feature-dumping! Features only imply that a "process" is beneficial, or a "technique" is going to help…. As service providers we must be able to describe clear results to potential clients.
Success Story:
One client arrived in despair. She had a great service as a professional organizer and sadly, few customers to show for it.
I asked her to give me the top 10 benefits of her good service…alas she (like many others responding to this request) provided a list of top 10 features instead.
She listed "features" that describe how she gets to a result. Features like:
- Customized quotes
- Office flow organization tweaking
- Created new filing systems
- Ergonomic layouts for offices, etc.
Sound pretty good, don't' they? Sure, and her customers seemed interested and keen, BUT they were not following through and hiring her.
I helped her articulate a more effective sales list of the benefits and results of her good work. Results like:
- Added value of charging only her client's specific needs
- Improved and streamlined office procedures
- To save time and decrease frustrations
- Ability to provide better customer service
- Increased efficiency with improved filing structure
- Less time wasted due to poor office layout
- Resulting in increased productivity all around.
We created a list of 6 good questions she can ask to uncover if a client needs organizational help. Why waste time telling clients all about our services if they don't need them?
Now, my client will always ask questions to find out first if someone seriously needs her service. If they do, she tells them with confidence about the results she can provide and is more secure asking for their business. By following these guidelines you too can get hired faster with more confidence practically every time!
"Anna Kanary's Sales class was exactly what I needed! As someone with very little sales background and who struggles to close the deal with potential clients, this class gave me the format, confidence, clarity and momentum I needed to get out there and get more clients! Anna's expertise combined with her warmth makes this class not only exceptional but necessary...you will get more than you ever expected!"

A Startling Fact About The Dangers Of Labeling
A Startling Fact About The Dangers Of Labeling
Word Count:
751
Summary:
Do you realize how often you are using labels on others and yourself. Do you realize how it holds you back and crushes your potiential and the potiential of learns. Learn what you are doing and how to stop it.
Keywords:
CommunicationTraining,BusinessTraining,Labeling,Perceptions,Subconscious,Brain,HiddenBeliefs
Article Body:
Quite often, we use labels on ourselves and others without even realizing that we are doing it. And most often, they are negative. What we don't realize is how much theses labels can hurt us and others.
The challenge is, what ever you state to yourself repetitively, even if you know on a conscious level that it is not true, your subconscious mind believes it.
For example, after misplacing something, have you ever said to your self, "I am so stupid." You know that you are just annoyed but your subconscious takes you seriously.
Once your subconscious mind believes something, it sets out to confirm it's belief and it can self sabotage your efforts to change and grow.
In fact, you may be holding several labels on yourself that you are not even aware of because you have been saying and believing them for so long. They may be about how well you believe you can learn, cook, drive or even show up on time.
These labels literately control your life and stop you from moving forward.
In addition, when we use labels on other people, just as in judging, we start to see only the label. Labels are stagnating and do not allow the other person to grow.
People will look for information that confirms the label that has been placed on a person. They will speak to the person according to their label, and don't hear anything beyond it.
People will literately ignore anything that isn't inline with their belief about the other person and the label they put on them.
For example, if you believed that a person was clumsy and always stated that they were clumsy, you would ignore all the times that they walked or did anything with grace and ease.
Then if anything happened that even remotely looked clumsy you then would say, "see, what did I tell you, you're always so
clumsy."
This can make the person very nervous in front of you and the more the person worries the more likely it is for something to happen. It then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I have seen some men do this to women, when they believe that all women are too emotional. The woman could go for months and not be upset with anything then something happens, he will go, "see, what did I tell you, women always get upset." All along 'forgetting' when they, themselves were upset.
Sometimes these men will even provoke the other person, by saying to them repeatedly, now don't get upset. This is treating the other person is a way that you believe they will react which in turn creates the very behaviour that you were hoping to avoid in the first place.
People see and hear what they want to believe. And compounding that is, what you see and hear is filtered through your bias. So in the end you receive only a partial message that leaves out anything that contradicts your beliefs.
Sometimes people hold back information from the other person in the hopes confusing them to keep their belief alive about the other person's abilities. This creates the behaviour that the other person wants to prove.
Labeling can also leads to criticism, bigotry and hatred. Especially when small children are listening to us. They are learning how to act in society and repeat what they hear, which in turn affects how their future will turn out.
- Black
- White
- Slow
- Stupid
- ADHD
- Trouble maker
- Bureaucrats
- Hothead
- Short
- Tall
- Smart
- Good / bad
- Right / wrong
Some labels are:
Even positive labels can hurt and annoy. There are people who
and said that they are tired of always hearing that they are the cute, good, smart one etc. It stifles who they are and their potential to grow if they believe they must stay with in the label.
Ask yourself, what labels you use on yourself and others. Start noting how often you say them and ask yourself, do you believe they are true. Then start replacing them with sayings that are more productive in growing to your own potential.
While you are doing that, contemplate on this quote.
Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an
understanding of ourselves. --Carl Jung

Small Home-Based Businesses -- Five Simple Steps to Success
Small Home-Based Businesses -- Five Simple Steps to Success

In Australia, 60% of small businesses fail within the first twelve months. For anyone wanting to start a small business -- maybe even work from home -- that statistic seems daunting. Don't be discouraged! Read about five simple business principles that can help you to succeed.

Article Body:
Did you know that, in Australia, 60% of small businesses fail in the first twelve months? For those of us who would like to start a small business -- maybe even work from home -- that's a very discouraging statistic.
Does that mean that your business idea is doomed to failure? Far from it! There are steps you can take that greatly increase your chances of success. With a little time and some serious research you can hit the ground running. Let's start from the beginning…
The bright idea
First, of course, you need to come up with an idea. Typically, business opportunities can be divided into four groups:
1. Offering an existing product/service in an existing market.
2. Introducing an existing product/service to a new market.
3. Offering a new product/service in an existing market
4. Introducing a new product/service to a new market.
At this stage of the game the only limit is your imagination. Inspiration can come from anywhere -- maybe you have a hobby that you'd like to turn into a full-time job; you may be on the receiving end of bad service one day and decide to try doing it better yourself; or you may have a talent that you'd like to capitalise on.
Once you've come across something that you'd like to do, it's time to take a look at the market and see what's on offer.
Passing the test
So you've had a great idea and you're keen to roll with it; now it's time to put it through its paces. For the purpose of the exercise, let's say that you have a passion for healthy living, and that you want to distribute a range of lifestyle accessories that promote healthy living with a do-it-yourself approach.
Ask around: Is there a market for products that promote healthy living? What sorts of products are available? Who would you be competing with and what do your competitors offer? Do you have the necessary skills to run such a business and -- more to the point -- what would those skills be? Where would your business be located?
Once you've answered those questions you should have a fairly clear picture of what your business will look like.
You source some products and decide to do some further research into the range of lifestyle products offered by a company called Vitality 4 Life. Your own life experience plus some work you've done as a dietician has given you the necessary skill sets, and you think that you'll be able to work from home, giving you more time for family. There is an existing market, but there's room for expansion. Now it's time to take a closer look.
To be or not to be?
It's time to get down to the nuts and bolts. You don't want to jump into something feet first and find out the hard way that the budget just doesn't work.
To get started, sit down and work out if you need to hire staff, which means paying wages.
If you lease a premises you'll need to be able to pay the rent, and your location will have to be suitable for your business and target market (which also means that you'll have to think carefully about just what that target market is). You'll also need to work out the likely demand for your product/service.
Ok… you've worked out that there is enough demand for good quality juicers, sprouters, water filters and other high end accessories to take a shot at a distributorship as a home-based business opportunity. Now you need to make some marketing decisions.
Look at me! Look at me!
Advertising can be costly so you'll want to be sure that your advertising budget is spent wisely. That means more market research, this time one-on-one. Profile your customer groups so you can aim your marketing at the right group/s of people.
Draw up a questionnaire (a short questionnaire -- people run out patience if you ramble for too long) and hang around outside a few of the local gyms (for our particular example). Come up with a mixture of open questions (What do you think of……..?) and closed questions (Do you have a gym membership? Yes/No.); sliding scales can be useful too.
For our health accessories business, a good question might be 'How did you hear about this gym? Radio, tv, newspaper, word of mouth etc…' Such a question would then give you an indication of the types of media that your target group responds best to.
Choose a business name, print up some business cards, buy some stock and get ready to trade!
Measure it, manage it!
A teacher of mine made the point that, in business, if you can't measure it you can't manage it.
You need to be able to plan ahead, and to do that you need to know -- or to be able to accurately predict -- your total sales. The equation is simple: number of customers x average sale x frequency of visits per customer per year = total sales. Remember it, revise it often, measure your business and you'll be able to manage it!
Keep an eye on your bottom line and, most importantly, always be aware of your cash flow -- the cold, hard cash that you have in the bank. Allow for invoice periods (14 days, 30 days etc) when you're planning your budget.
The market place has a life of its own, and no one can prepare for every contingency. Put some thought into your idea; make sure that there's a market for what you're offering; research, research, research; promote your business effectively; always know what's going on in your bank account and don't forget about cash flow!
It's not perfect but, if you follow these few simple steps, you'll be miles ahead of many new small business ventures. If you've heard of a great home-based business opportunity, or have a product or service of your own to market, you're off to a great start!

A Positive Approach to Pay Per Click Advertising
A Positive Approach to Pay Per Click Advertising
Word Count:
570
Summary:
Pay per click advertising is an effective method of getting instant online traffic. This process greatly facilitates people who are impatient to wait and watch online success through search engine optimization. This article is for beginners who have put their steps forward to make big and instant business profit online.
Keywords:
Pay per click services, Pay per click management firm, pay per click advertisements, cheap keyword bidding, search engine optimization,
Article Body:
In a virtual marketplace, search engine plays an imperative role in bringing success to online business since most of the searches for products and services are done through search engines. Therefore, we can easily make out how important it is to get a secure position in a search engine result listing page if one has to excel in online business.
Just making an appealing and content saturated website using soothing colors never seems profitable. Your site must undergo search engine optimization (SEO) process with the help of search engine optimizers to make it compatible enough to appear in an influential position in a search engine result page (SERP).
However, SEO is not a process of eating a ripe fruit but it involves process of showing a seed, watering the germinated plant constantly, letting it flower that converts to a fruit and ultimately eating a ripe fruit. Hence for any SEO strategies to show some result, it may take time varying from 2 or 3 months to a year or more. But, the people who are impatient to go ahead with SEO process and want instant online visibility and Web traffic to their website, they can opt for services like pay per click.
Pay per click gives a guaranteed listing of your website in SERP and it is a process of advertising your website in such a way where you are charged nothing for advertising but will be charged for each click made by the visitors. You are allowed to select the keywords and bid on it. Higher the bidding rate, greater will be the chances of appearing your website at the top of sponsor listing of SERP.
Today, the concept of pay per click has become so popular that it is gaining popularity almost similar to organic listing of website. Because pay per click is a perfect way of getting filtered traffic where chances of online traffic conversion to potential buyer is maximum. There are many PPC management firms that offers cheap keyword bidding rate but never make a mistake by choosing short and common keywords, instead try to make your selection little different than your competitors but approachable to visitors.
But pay per click could not remain sacred to give impeccable service to its users. Affiliate search engine website which implements search engine's result onto their website has adopted a faulty way of making repeated clicks in order to gain increased revenue from paid listing.
Again, in order to expel the rival from the search engine completely, strong competitors started making repeated clicks on sponsored listing just to make their advertising approach more expensive and unaffordable.
To your respite, there are number of companies like ClickRisk, ClickDetective that offer tools to detect fraud clicks and other sites like KeyWordMax, ClickLab offer services like return on investment tracking and website analytics.
From this month (March) onwards, Google is set to allow advertisers to blacklists IP addresses of doubtful clicks and is likely to lunch an online resource centre that educate and guide advertisers fight back and tackle the issue of click fraud.
Whatever may be the case; you can not deny the effectiveness of pay per click advertising and keep yourself away fearing the possible fraud. Unless and until you fought the battle, you can not guarantee the victory or defeat. So, go ahead with pay per click advertisement if you are in immediate need of online traffic.

Should you Pay Per Click?
Commonly refered to as PPC among the savy internet marketers. If you have been marketing online for any length of time you have probably seen PPC eat up your advertising dollars with little or no results.
You research and choose the hottest keywords, then burn through your daily budget in an hour with no sales. The myth that mega traffic produces mega profits is just that. A myth.
Traffic is great. Traffic improves your search engine ranking. It increases word of mouth advertising. Traffic gets you more traffic, but when you are paying a pretty penny for each and every click you want sales.
You may remember the class action law suit against Google. A group of businesses sued Google claiming the company didn't do enough to prevent click fraud so they lost money in their PPC campaigns.
In my less than humble opinion, click fraud was not the culprit. For those who don't know, click fraud is when someone who publishes Google Adsense ads clicks on ads on their own sight to make money with no intention of purchasing the product advertised.
As I said, in my opinion click fraud was not the culprit. It was badly chosen keyword phrases. Instructions on how to choose and bid on keyword phrases are available on the PPC sites so I won't go into the mechanics of bidding.
The important thing is, if you chose the most popular keyword your ad will show up in hundreds maybe even thousands of searches an hour. This means you will recieve hundreds maybe even thousands of clicks a day.
Mega traffic right? For instants. If you are selling hand painted porceliain piggy banks and you bid on the keyword "bank". Who will see your ad and possibly click on it? People looking for online banking, people looking for a rock band called "Bank", kids writing a report for school on the bankiong industry. In other words, people who don't want what you are selling.
They will click on your ad without reading the whole thing and go "This isn't what I want." and hit the back button. Remember, it cost you money for them to click. It costs them nothing, so people aren't careful about what they click on.
Choose your phrase carefully. You want clicks from visitors who are looking to buy what you are selling. Target your phrase. Bid on "porceliain hand painted piggy banks" if that is what you are selling. People who do broad searches are just looking. People who target their searches are looking to buy.
Will you get less traffic? Yes. Will you make more sales? Maybe, depending on your product, how easy your site is to navigate, your prices, etc, etc...
The point is, with PPC, looky loos cost you money. Save the most popular keywords for your free traffic sources. Target your PPC so that only credit card in hand buyers click your ads.

'Tis the season to prepare your web site for an explosive growth in traffic. That's right, the holiday season is fast upon us and people everywhere are letting their mouse do the clicking in search of relevant information about products featured online. Are you ready? If not, you are certainly missing out.
Keywords:

Article Body:
With the holiday season fast approaching and the all important new year sales blitz just around the corner, webmasters are preparing to cash in like never before to capture the greater part of the pay per click revenue spoils. AdSense has some new competition in Chitika and Yahoo's Publishing Network is really taking off. The following 25 keywords I have identified as giving exceptionally larger than life payouts; adjust your site accordingly to pull in the greatest amount of cash over the next few months. Don't expect me to share with you actual pay out amounts [they vary, anyway]; I did my homework so now do yours too!
The following are 25 words followed by my comments:
Mesothelioma – Duh. Goes without saying.
Money – give make money and free mone a try.
Bextra – also try Bextra lawyer, Bextra Pfizer
Life insurance – life insurance quote, life insurance rate, term life insurance
Health insurance – what people need, but few can afford.
Prescription plan – what people need, but few can afford.
Student loan – student loan consolidation is a biggie.
Personal injury attorney – add in a particular state before the term to narrow things down.
Acne – zits are in, very in.
Timeshare – resell timeshare is popular too.
Mortgages – always a popular term and will be as long as people own houses.
Equity loan – also give home equity loan a try.
Debt consolidation – a perpetual leader. No surprise there!
Lasik – vanity sells!
Face lift – like I said…
Hair loss – more of the same!
Caviar – one of the highest paying foodie keywords.
Canadian pharmacy – always a crowd pleaser.
Elder care – some day we'll all be there; sooner than you think!
Spyware – a perpetual problem with mass appeal!
Laptop computer – also try <i>notebook computer</i>.
Cell phone – always a competitive area.
VOIP – voice over internet protocol continues to strengthen.
Tax help – as long as there is an IRS…
401k rollover – everyone wants in on the action
So, what does each of these words have in common? Pay outs of two dollars or more per click is possible; much, much higher for some keywords depending on the season and a host of other factors. I identified many other keywords that also are high payers, but left them out on purpose. I shouldn't have to give away all my secrets now, should I?

Knowing how to find the best keywords for use in your Adsense ads is not a straightforward process. Finding and implementing high profit, low competition keywords in your ads really is the trick for making Adsense payoff big.
After I had tried several things to pick out good performing keywords, I wrote down this process that should yield profitable, low competition keywords for your Adsense ads. This process is not perfect, but when you analyze it and try it for yourself, you can see that it makes sense. Adsense that is.
Step 1
Research some keywords for your niche that have a high CPC value. To do this, first find your keywords using the Google Adwords keyword tool or another tool that will give you niche specific lists of keywords. Save those keywords into a spreadsheet program as a csv file. Copy and paste those keywords into Google's Traffic Estimator (you will need an Adwords account). The traffic estimator will give you the estimated clicks per day and the average cost per click (CPC) for each keyword. Copy and paste this information back into your spreadsheet file for later reference.
Step 2
Multiply the average CPC by 30% to get an estimate of your maximum earnings per click. The higher the average CPC, the more likely the CPC for the 2nd - 8th positions are high as well. You want this higher average CPC to start because if the CPC starts to drop off significantly after the 3rd position, your chance of getting high click earnings as an Adsense publisher will be diminished.
Step 3
I use a tool called Adword Accelerator to help with estimating the 1st - 8th position CPC values. This tool will estimate the CPCs for each position and allow you to see how much the CPCs drop off after the first position. This dramatically helps your analysis for picking the most profitable keywords. If the CPC values stay close to the each other and to the value of the first position, then you will more than likely have a profitable keyword.
Step 4
Now determine which Adsense ads occupy which positions. You can do this by searching on Google for your keyword and looking to see which Adsense ads are generated in the search results and in which order they are. Another way to estimate this is to use the Adword Accelerator tool. It has a feature whereby Adwords ads are dynamically displayed for a given keyword you input into the tool to check. If the Adwords advertiser has used "Adwords for Content" in his advertising, these ads will be the Adsense ads someone else is displaying on their website.
Step 5
Compare the ads you found in step 4 to the results of using the keyword check function at the website. If the advertisers you find by doing this closely match those you found in step 4, you will more than likely have a profitable keyword.
If the advertisers are not he same, then the advertiser is possibly not using the "Adwords for Content" mode of advertising in his campaigns. This means that the keyword may not be the basis for the Adsense ads and may not be profitable.
Step 6
Now you must get the traffic. If you decide to get traffic using the Adwords approach, then just use the keywords in your Adsense ads that scored well from the above evaluation. Then, use lower cost per click keywords in your Adwords ads. The difference between the earnings from the click you get on your Adsense word from the cost of the click you pay on your Adwords word will be your profit.
If you are planning to use search engine optimization techniques to get traffic to the website where your ads are, make sure the keywords you choose have the highest KEI possible. KEI is the ratio of the number of searches for a keyword to the number of competing sites having the keyword. The combination of a high KEI and a high score from the above evaluation will yield the best profit results.

That's right. Everytime you do a search on whatever it is your searching for via the Internet you get a list of results. Within that list of results lye's thousands, if not, millions of pages of Virtual Real Estate that is making someone out there on the WWW some handsome profits.
The question is... "what have you done in order to stake your Internet "VRE" claim so you too can enjoy some of that profit as well?"
If you haven't started anything yet, that's okay because I did a little research for you and came up with these "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" so you too can benefit like the many others out there online.
The first VRE business model I'd like to talk about are -- Article Directories.
VRE Model #1. Article Directories.
Article Directories are in my mind are probably one of the best VRE business models on the web simply because they offer your audience and publishers Multiple Channels of information on any topic.
And the facts are, people come online for information.
So, what do Article Directories contain?
That's right... Information! ... and lots of it.
The other great benefit to Article Directories is that you don't have to write a single word if you don't want to because the whole purpose of starting your Article Directory in the first place is to get other people(we also call them authors) to submit their content for your readers and/or publishers to read and use.
Now, the Rule Of Thumb is simple when it comes to growing your Article Directory and that is... the more authors you recruit, the more your Article Directory will grow, filling it full of targeted information for your readers to digest and for publishers to use on their websites.
It gets better, so keep reading.
Did you know that the more pages you have within your Article Directory means... the more search engine food you'll have for the search engines to come and index into their database which will then be displayed within the search engines search results.
Remember in the beginning of this article when I was talking about the search engine results being full of Virtual Real Estate. This is where your Article Directories webpages(or your Virtual Real Estate) will be listed for web surfers find.
I hope so.
But don't go anywhere just yet, I'm not finished.
There's two more things I want to talk to you about before this part of the article series ends.
The first is RSS -- better known as "Real Simple Syndication" and what RSS does is it allows you to syndicate your Article Directories content or just content in general through an RSS feed so that any reader and/or publisher who subscribes to a particular RSS feed within your Article Directory will receive ANY new updated content that is published... INSTANTLY!
The other benefit to a RSS feed is... lets say you have 1000 publishers subscribed to one of your RSS feeds and one of your authors submits a new article at your Article Directory, all those publishers who subscribed to that RSS feed will receive it once that RSS feed updates and when someone clicks on the link within that RSS feed to read the new article, guess where the visitor is sent to?
You guessed it, your Article Directory, with your Google Adsense ads(I'll talk about that in a second) and whatever other related affiliate links you have on that webpage.
Now... for the BEST part, how-to make a $Profit$ with your Article directory.
I'm telling you, this is the easiest money you'll ever make for simply supplying your viewers and the Internet(A.K.A. The Information Super Highway) with what it needs the most, Information!
How do you do it?
Heard of Google Adsense(as I mentioned just a minute ago), because if you haven't, now you have.
What is Google Adsense?
Google Adsense is Googles affiliate program for publishers and how it works is it displays ads targeted towards the content on that particular webpage being viewed.
How do you get paid? Simple. Your reader just has to click on one of the ads within the Google Adsense ad box on that webpage and depending on what the topic is and keyword could pay some handsome commissions(usually between 35% to 50%).
And, guess what? You didn't even have to do any selling OR follow-up.
Not bad and believe me those clicks add up Fast and by having the search engines returning frequently for regular indexing and having RSS feeds(remember, when someone clicks on the RSS feed link on someone elses website they get redirected back to yours with your Google Adsense ads on it and other affiliate links) for other publishers to use on their websites you'll soon see your Google Adsense profits get Bigger and BIGGER!
Well, that's it for now. So be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of the "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense".

The article explaines 5 tips how advertisers can manage their Google Adwords campaings in more effective ways resulting in better campaign performance and increased conversions.

Article Body:
As costs of PPC campaigns are increasing, internet marketers are more than even under the pressure to deliver positive results. The performance of PPC campaigns is dependent on following factors:
- The impression rate
- Your ad position
- Click thru rate (CTR)
- Conversion rate
Finding the right balance between impression rate, ad position and clicks is the starting point to successful PPC advertising. Before exploring tips to help your campaign perform better, let's quickly sum-up the concept how Google displays your ads in its sponsored results:
* Daily budget controls frequency of your ad display
The frequency is expressed by number of impressions. If your daily budget is not high enough, your ad may not show all the time (meaning you don't have enough impressions per day).
* Ad position depends on the Rank Number
The higher the rank number, the higher is your ad's position on the page. The rank number is calculated based on the following formula:
Rank Number = CPC (Cost Per click) x CTR (click through rate) x (Ad quality)
Now we're ready to explore what practices are more likely to help us improve PPC campaigns performance:
1/ Improve Ad Delivery
If your ad does not show up every time when searches are performed under your keyword, it may be a sign that your daily budget is not high enough. As you now know, how frequent of your ad display is controled by the daily budget. If you would like your ad to be shown more frequently, please consider to increase your daily budget in order to receive a maximum exposure for your ad.
Normally, you have 50% margin for your daily budget. For example, if your desired daily budget is $10.00 per day, you can set your actual daily budget on Google to $15.00 per day, because your actual spending is based on your click thru rate, by setting the daily budget higher will allow your ad to get more exposure, but your actual spending may still be in your desired daily budget range.
However, be sure to monitor your daily advertising costs and if they are rising too high, decrease the budget on the safe level.
2/ Improve Ad Delivery per Keyword
Each campaign can have one or more adroups. An AdGroup is a group of keywords and ads that will display when those keywords are searched for on Google. You may have experienced a situation when only few keywords out of the whole AdGroup trigger your ad. The explanation lies again behind the daily budget that controls a number of impressions for your campaign. These impressions are distributed between individual AdGroups and further between individual keywords. So it may happen that some keywords in a particular Adgroup have more impressions than the others, meaning some keywords trigger your ad more frequently than others.
If you want to improve the ad delivery for your targeted keywords, you can consider splitting your keywords and creating a new campaign for keywords with low impressions. This should improve the frequency with which they will trigger your ad.
3/ Optimize your Adgroups
As mentioned above, each campaign has one or more adroups that all share campaign's impressions. Often, the impressions are not divided evenly between adgroups. So it may happen that some adgroups have more impressions and show their ad(s) more frequently than others. It is a very similar scenario as with keywords we just described above.
To improve results of your low-performing adgroups, you can consider to create a new campaign for them in order to increase the frequency with witch they show your ad on Google.
4/ Analyse your Clicks
Make sure the clicks are made for specific, targeted keywords. If you're getting lots of clicks on non-targeted keywords, consider reducing Max CPC and/or your ad position in order to improve your ROI. Similarly, you can raise bids for targeted keywords that are performing well.
5/ Optimize your Ads
Make sure you bid on targeted keywords, create compelling ads and link them to relevant content on your website. The keywords you chose will segment the market and target your desired audience. If you won't chose wisely, you'll finish targeting the wrong market and wasting your advertising budget. The ad you create needs to attract attention of your prospects. It needs to communicate your unique selling feature - in other words, what makes your product/service different from others and why a visitor should visit your website. Be specific about your offer and include call to action. Lastly, guide visitors to the content on your website where they can access more information about the offer advertised. The landing page should also clearly state what is the next natural step to make - buy your product, download the white paper, sign up for a free trial, etc.
PPC management requires lots of work and testing but if you stick to the basics you can make money instead of losing them. Remember, the only measure that matters on the Internet is the profit you make.

5 killer Adwords techniques for a successful campaign.

Article Body:
1. Find A Product
2. Keyword Research
3. Ad Copy
4. Bidding Strategies
5. Tracking & Testing
Let's explore these steps in detail below:
1.) Find a Product:
If you don't have your own product a fast way to get started is to join an affiliate network such as cj.com, clickbank.com or linkshare.com. There are thousands of great products at these networks. They are easy and free to join. You don't need a website to start however it is a good idea to invest in a website once you find a lucrative market. You can also join thousands of companies who run their affiliate programs in-house. To find these companies type in a product you would like to advertise and follow it with affiliate program. E.g. "guitar lessons affiliate program".
2.) Keyword Research:
Brain storm search terms that people would use to find your market. Use general and specific keywords. General keyword e.g. "guitar lessons" "learn the guitar". Specific keyword e.g. "guitar made easy" "ebook guitar lessons". Check your competitors' website source code and look at their meta tags to see what keywords they are using. Use keyword tools like Word tracker, Overture's free tool and Google's free tool. These will help you uncover hundreds or even thousands of keyword phrases and combinations.
3.) Ad Copy:
Writing good ad copy is crucial for getting visitors from Adwords. Focus on the benefits of the product you are selling and use the keyword in the title of your ad. If a web surfer typed the keyword "guitar made easy" you could write an ad like this:
Guitar Made Easy
Learn Insider Techniques to
Master the Guitar Fast.
keyword is in the title and the benefits are in the ad body.
4.) Bidding Strategies:
If you have a small budget keep your bids low between 10 and 25 cents per click. Bid on as many keywords as you can. Don't get into bidding wars with your competitor for 1st place or any ranking. Figure out what a visitor is worth to you. If you have 4 sales for every 100 visitors and you make $20 per sale, a visitor would be worth $0.80.
This is how I calculate the visitors worth: 4 sales x $20 / 100 visitors. Once you know what a visitor is worth you will know how much your maximum bid should be. To obtain a healthy ROI never bid more than half of what a visitor is worth on a search term. Using our example above a visitor is worth $0.80 so you would keep bids below $0.40 because you want to try to make a 200% ROI.
5.) Testing And Tracking
Experiment with your ads. Split test 2 ads in your Adwords account. Keep the ad that performs the best and edit or rewrite the loser and split test again. Look at your Adwords stats to make note of the best performing ads. This will teach you what types of ads work best for your market. Test variations of your landing page. Modify your page and track your results. You should constantly be testing and tracking your website content and your ads.
Google has a conversion tool to help track specific goals like your ROI and your click thru rate to your website links. Google has an excellent tool called Google Analytics that tracks traffic, goals, ROI, keywords and much more. It is the best free tracking tool I have ever worked with.

If you're interested in profiting from Adwords, this may be the most important article you read today.
Here's why: I started a few years ago promoting one of my own business sites through Adwords and made a few thousand dollars every month, but at this time, Adwords was still in its infancy. However, the Adwords playing field has changed since those days and now there are two types of Adwords user, the savvy, and the losers. The losers will quickly figure out that dumping a load of Overture collected keywords into an Adgroup and setting a general CPC on all the keywords at once is definitely not the right way to go about it, and they complain claiming "Adwords is too difficult" and this is where many of them leave. However, those who decide to find out why their Adwords aren't pulling as well they want them to, will found out that the key to success is RELEVANCY. I will say this again, RELEVANCY is key, especially with Google.
Laser-targeted bring sales my friend, not traffic. This fact is pivotal in Adwords, and if you are targetting high traffic relevant keywords you are well on your way to raking in many sales with your Adwords campaigns.
Here is what you can do to find these highly targetted keywords:
3. Select the keyword which are relevant to what you are selling and put them into overture - - and Overture will give you a few more related terms.
4. Add all of the relevant keywords to a separate Adgroup and create a new Ad for this specific Adgroup.
5. Watch the relevant traffic roll in and your sales increase 'many-fold'!
Follow this method and you won't go far wrong.
There are some keyword research tools which facilitate this research process and automatically weed out the very low traffic keywords and help you in creating high click-thru ads and keywords. A few of these are very good, but many are useless.
